First, I'd like to both welcome you to Azoria: Romantically Destructive, as well as thank you for taking the time to browse our website.
In this guide, you will find a lot of helpful information that is aimed towards assisting you in navigating through Azoria. The first stop on our little tour will bring us to the Rules section, which is also found here inside The Guide board. It's always a good idea to familiarize yourself with the rules of any website so that you can get an idea of what is expected of everyone who participates. They should be pretty easy to follow, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me personally at any time through any means necessary.
After you've taken a look at our rules and still haven't run away screaming, our next stop will be the Plots page. Here, you can take a look at all the active plots running behind the scenes. The plots are updated regularly as members move them forward by either finding new information or reaching a new point in the story. Some plots also update individually per member, and this progress is reported as such. We also try to keep our main plots as open as possible so anything can happen and anyone can get involved. If you have an idea for a story plot, or even personal sub-plots for that matter, you'll find a section under the Characters category to place your ideas, but we'll get to that shortly.
If you're still interested and reading on, then you're really making my day
If after taking a gander at the rules and plots, you're considering joining Azoria (Doo eeet!), Be sure to swing on by the Playable Races board and take a look at the type of characters you can make. We also feature a Custom (Other) Races Sub-board if you have an idea for something other than the standard races offered. Though we do recommend asking a Staff Person for permission before creating a custom race. This way, there is a bit of communication between member and staff, as well as creates the opportunity to fine-tune certain details to cohesively fit with the world of Azoria. We also recommend stopping by the Wanted Ads as well. You might find a request for a character that you'd be interested in filling.
Once you've decided on a character to create, then you're all set! Head on down to Character Creation, grab the easy-to-use template, and start getting to work! If you're confused at all about anything, or just somewhat unsure of what to put down, feel free to take a look at any of the Accepted Applications as well. It's not cheating, so don't worry! If you still find yourself having any trouble, or just have a question you'd like to ask, don't hesitate to do so. We're all here to help.
Since Azoria is a completely original fantasy realm, you may be unsure what to put for your character's history and/or hometown. This may be a good time to refer to the Continents Sub-board, as it goes in to detail about each individual continent as well as most noteworthy areas of the continent. You don't have to limit yourself to the pre-made towns either. Feel free to make up a village or small town if you wish, but if you want to create a kingdom for your character, or anything on a large-scale contact a staff member first so we can see about accommodating you. Your character's history doesn't have to be a mirror image of Azoria's history, nor is it expected, but if you'd like to get a general idea of what's been going on in the world, then feel free to check out the History and Lore of Azoria. You'll mainly want to focus on the 6th-7th ages depending on how old you decide to make your character.
Well once you've created and submitted your character, it shouldn't take more then two-three days, they'll be reviewed. Once accepted, you're ready to get straight to Roleplaying. During this time, feel free to Introduce yourself at the Introductions board. We always love seeing new people!
Now, with a character accepted and ready to go, you're ready to start your first thread. If you haven't already, ask around and see what everyone's up to. You can also stop on by Party Central and either start or join a group for all types of adventuring.
At this point, you're pretty much all set! Feel free to read any of the information found on The World of Azoria at any time. Also, be sure to take another quick look at History and Lore over all the ages. You might happen to stumble upon some secret information that just might lead to hidden surprises ^^
Good luck, and DON'T FEED THE WYVERNS!
