Appearance: Saeryn's upper half is that of a elven woman. Her hair is bordering on the lighter side of jet black, and the style often changes daily, usually a reflection of her mood or simple whims. Her hairstyle is almost always ornate and well styled. Saeryn's skin is deathly pale, her porcelain skin is absent of any scar or tattoos. Her thin blade of a face is often in one of two moods, a bitter frown is disgust or frustration, and a smile akin to a big sister about to prey on a unfortunate sibling. The two things that her upper half differs from a regular elf is that her blood is as black as sin, and her race is dotted with 6 blood red eyes, giving her a disturbing stare. Saeryn's clothing often reflects both her luxurious tastes and her darker more macabre side. Her wardrobe consists of ordinate, luxurious dresses often cover the elven half of her body, often with crimson or black motifs to reflect the colors of. However she is often seen wearing ritual robes, most of them have some form of significance to the woman either symbolic of spiritual. Just like her hair these often change daily as a symbol of her wealth and the life of luxury that she's carved out for herself. However despite what she is wearing, Saeryn often keeps scrolls, ledgers, journals or rattling bottles of potions and poisons with her. Often they usually have something to do with whatever job that she was hired for or business that she is currently attention. Saeryn always dresses with some jewlery, rings necklaces, piercings on her ears and brow, be it gold or other precious metals or gems just like with the rest of her attire it all has to do with her showing off to those who would consider her a monster.
However her eyes are by far the least subtle of her mutations, Saeryn's lower half is that of a large black widow spider. This gives her a rather frightening silhouette as she towers over most others, her height is extremely variable depending on how she has her legs bent, although it goes without saying she tends to stand above those born with only 2 legs. Saeryn's legs often act like a dogs tail, twitching when she is exited or happy, or more often when she’s angered, and during times of heightened emotions it's difficult to keep all of her limbs perfectly still. The black, shiny carapace is a stark contract compared to her pale skin, as well as the bright red markings of her smaller cousins. The fangs of the spider hang from the front of her body, the two blade like fangs are perfect for piercing into an unarmored belly to deliver their toxic payload. Saeryn often tries to hide them beneath her clothing, in a attempt to appear somewhat less monstrous. It goes without saying that despite all the attempts to wear the thin mask of civility, Saeryn's appearance often makes other's nervous if not outright disgusted with her form.
Personality: Saeryn is a business woman, and that priority shows with those that she chooses to deal with. She is someone who is calm and courteous. Often wanting to be a good host and make a good impression on others. Saeryn has a temper issue, often snapping at others who make her angry or those below her serving her. Of course she is more then willing to keep it in check in proper company, usually pausing to attempt to emotionally put on the brakes, and calm down.
Of course this is a complete lie meat to make people actually put up with her her, the real Saeryn is a power hungry psychopath that is more the happy to ensure her life of luxury over a mountain of corpses. Saeryn will do anything to get what she wants, even to through rather extreme measures. Saeryn knows how to manipulate a person, and will quickly twist knives in emotional wounds to gain leverage over those she wants. Saeryn craves to be in charge and ordering around others even for the most menial tasks. This usually results in the dread of being under her watchful eye, the wrathful woman quick to scorn her underlings. Saeryn is extremely greedy, the common coin meaning the world to her. Saeryn will do almost anything for the right price, and is quick to sell out allies for her own personal gain. Saeryn is someone who doesn't enjoy the company of friends, she makes them slowly and will gladly send them down the river the second an opportunity arises rather then sacrifice herself. The lives of others mean next to nothing to her, and any horrors that she has witnessed and even committed have yet to leave her with a guilty conscience. While she is not of noble heritage she has plenty of wealth and enjoys flaunting it, especially to the distaste of those who should be in her position by bloodline. This stems into everything from her tastes in clothing, her manor home, down to her tastes in food are rather exotic. Saeryn often preferring exotic delicacies over more traditional dishes. She has a short temper, and can be extremely wrathful in moments of rage. Saeryn is easily offended by any reference to her mutations is seen as extremely offensive to Saeryn, even something as simple as telling her to crawl back to her web can push her to retribution, both verbal or even physical violence.
However her mind is far from free of the side effects of her mutations, Saeryn is a sadistic psychopath and revels in the misery and suffering that her actions cause. Sometimes urges overcome her to rip and tear into those around her, the complete opposite of the mask of civility she tries to show. She has an undeniable attraction to the blood of the living, most often her temptation is to simply spin a unfortunately soul in a web and feed. How in her attempts to play at being civil, dark habits have developed that have seen to Saeryn becoming a master torturer. Saeryn has taken it up as almost a hobby as she seems quite eager to rip and tear into her hapless victims. However she keeps these habits at bay, at least for now and only indulges in these temptations outside of the public's eye. However these habits have their way of crawling into every aspect of her life. Saeryn's sense of humor is often very grim or downright cruel. Her tastes in everything from architecture to clothing to symbols she adopts for her trade house are often macabre. Others just see her as creepy, and her unusual body type really doesn't help this notion. Her laugh is well known for being cruel and heartless and she just seems to give everyone the chills.
As well as the greedy psychopath that she is, Saeryn is paranoid, always having a mental plan to escape if some unknown factor she doesn't want to shows up. She makes sure that she has the right people in her pocket, the right people threatened, and the right money in the right places. A natural planner she hates the unexpected and tries to ensure that it never comes up. Coming hand in hand with this is a host of trust issues someone needs to get through in order for her to actually consider them a friend, and it seems next to impossible to be one that’s not disposable in her mind.

Back Story:In all terms of lineage or race Saeryn is a elf, but any of her kind that knows of her would most likely deny any relation with her, instead calling her an abomination to nature in all it's forms. In reality Saeryn is an elf that has been cursed and mutated by magical means, twisting the what should have been a normal girl into a monster. Saeryn was one of the products of a dark elven cult obsessed with experimentation with foul magic. They used regular use of artifacts and magic normally forbidden by the outside world and locked themselves away for centuries as they worked to perfect their dark arts. They hit away in the dark caves known only as the flesh pits Warping elf prisoners of war and raids and using unstable magic to seed mutation and madness among the offspring, all in attempts to control the forces they dared to tamper with. After years of experimenting and several failures that were disposed of, the cult was able to produce more useful products, one of which was Saeryn, possessing the body of an elf and the lower body of a large spider. While the lower body was an unexpected side effect of the experimentation but was one of the more stable, some were born with constantly shifting forms, extra limbs fused together and useless, most of the rejects were simply slaughtered. Like the rest of the chosen offspring, Saeryn was more attune to darker magics and would make perfect living weapons of war. But there was a critical flaw in the intent of their experiments. The new monstrosities meant to be a mindless menial spell caster, living artillery to be subverted and controlled. They would make a suitable acolyte, a reservoir of power for sorcerers to draw upon or to be used for the sheer brute force of their magic. But the new race retained their sentience and magic, so instead the cult would attempt to break the new creations by more direct means. Harsh labor and little food or water made the race little more than slaves. But the creators never intended for their charges to rebel against them. Saeryn was still in her youth when the abominations took up arms and wrestled their freedom through the only thing that they knew, violence.
The pathetic band of survivors eeked out their existence in their former prison, scrounging to survive in their pathetic corner of the world. Eventually as they spread out to scavenge what they could nomads would catch glimpses of the misshapen monsters on the outskirts of civilization. Eventually these rumors would come to the ears of the forbearers. This race was a direct product of elven blood, and such a monstrous race was seen as an abomination to the face of their lineage. With cruelty that was uncommon they ride out to raise the flesh pits to the ground. It was a one sided fight, many of the warped elves were cut down running towards those they thought were saviors. Saeryn was still a mere child back then and managed to hide herself from the warriors, only being able to watch as they slaughtered her ad hoc family all around her. In the aftermath of the slaughter Saeryn stumbled from the fortress, intent on staying hidden as to not provoke the same retribution that her ill fated family had suffered. Through some cruel miracle Saeryn had survived the wasteland, managing to stumble into Nobaltica. While she wasn't met with the same hostility as the high elves she was seen as a strange oddity. She survived on the streets of the tavern district, surviving off of the kindness of what few people would spare a coin to the strange creature, as well as stealing what she could. No one was willing to adopt such a oddity, her disturbing habits didn’t help, for example they were sometimes disturbed at the eagerness of which she would devour raw meat. Even with her squatter lifestyle, she explored her innate magical abilities, honing them and putting them to use.
It was these talents that would find Saeryn a home in the criminal underbelly of Nobaltica. A young, 71 year old Saeryn caught the eye of an aspiring crime lord in the red hand, and came to hire her as a pet sorceress. While she was seen as a tool, Saeryn began to learn how to talk her way out of situations. Becoming a master of manipulation, often playing political opponents against each other to gain more influence within the syndicate. It was here that she began to learn the arts of torture and interrogation, unable to help but put her own sadistic experiences to use. The crime lords she worked under finding the sadistic woman quite useful for prying information from her unfortunate victims. She was able to work her way up the ranks, backstabbing and soothsaying her way up until she was eventually overthrowing those who used to keep her as their pet freak. Saeryn’s natural hunger for power didn’t end. She looked upon Nobaltica and it’s many gangs as a symbol of opportunity. One by one she began to consolidate her power, thus began a the red hand undergoing a campaign of brutal violence, hostile takeovers and terror to take the city by force. Those against Saeryn were offered a chance for the others to serve under her, or else be smashed aside. Not all of the gangs took her offer, and the streets ran with blood. While her competition was falling into her control there were many changes that the woman brought internally. To an outsider, the smuggler gangs began to legitimize under Saeryn’s banner, the Larontir trade house, forming distinct unions and each of the major gangs carving out their own routes and trades to bring in legitimate coin. However the flow of contraband didn’t ease up, except now with newfound spending power judges and officers quickly found themselves in the pockets of Larontir. All the while any competition was removed as the extortion, the sabotage and the murders continued.
Having her claws dug firmly into the trade through Nobaltica brought unprecedented wealth to Saeryn. She began to accumulate more and more profits. Saeryn began to gain more exotic tastes due to her ill gotten gains, buying the manor house now known for belonging to Saeryn. She began to find herself taking part in unusual hobbies. She concentrated more on her magic, becoming more adept with the powers she used. She still manages a crime organization but with many lieutenants and underbosses she devotes most of her time to her studies, as well as offering her magical talents to the highest bidder. Saeryn also became interested in archaeology in her leisure time and the old world, including the magic that brought her own mutations. She has been found to sponsor expeditions into the undiscovered corners of the world, even taking part in some of the more safe digs. The Larontir trade house’s influence has been beginning to bleed into other cities, many shopkeepers threatened into paying for protection under threats of blackmail or thievery. Saeryn still lives in her large manor, but now she's too powerful for those that wish for her to be dead to simply remove. She is still hated by the her elven kin, and she rarely hesitates to present some show to humiliate or disgrace them. But despite her being cause cause of so much misery in Nobaltica she often appears in public, a shield of bribes and threats ensuring that it is rarely a risk to her life. The more her coffers swell she more that she can distance herself from the crimes that brought her fortune. She is nigh untouchable by the law, none of the authorities in Capere could try her, those that did Saeryn would ensure they had something precious to lose.
Goals/Aspirations:Expand the Larontir Trade House as well as the red hand, personal power over her magic as well as ancient magic, learn about the magic used to create her, to be accepted as Elven lineage

Skills:
- Bartering: Saeryn knows how to get a good deal and how to hassle a potential customer to get the most money possible. That and her greed makes her all the more willing to press on for a better deal.Negotiation: Saeryn knows how to smooth talk out of a situation. If it wasn't for her greed (fat chance) or her serving herself then she would make a top notch diplomat. Of course this usually comes in the form of talking out of a fight or convincing a client.
- Dark Magic/Ice Magic: Saeryn is proficient in the schools of dark magic and ice magic. This is the main reason that people actually pay her fees for her services.
- Alchemy/brewing: Saeryn brews potions and poisons for both profit and personal use. While most of the time these are more for harming a foe rather then helping others she can usually brew a potion that someone paid her for.
- Connections: Saeryn has a legion of people that "owe her favors" and these go even to people within the higher echelons of society. She knows how to twist these to her advantages.
- Archeology: Saeryn is well studied, and is naturally very curious when it comes to artifacts and this is a personal weakness when it comes to getting her to loosen her purse strings. She is often hired to lead an investigation of ruins, to the dismay of those under her command.

Magic:Saeryn is a born magic user, and her body is more in tune with the magics then someone born by natural means. I will make a spell book later to update in more precision, but these are the more broad spells that Saeryn makes use of that can be adapted.
- Doombolt: Saeryn conjures pure dark energy that she hurls at enemies. These bolts simply smash into enemies, most of the time the mere presence can blind or causing muscle spasms to more holy creatures if they do not get directly hit. Saeryn is easily able to control the intensity of the bolts, from as mild as to cause intense pain but no bodily damage, to something that dissolves flesh on mere contact. Saeryn can also make these bolts burst on contact, giving them an blast radius, but at greatly reduced intensity. The more powerful the bolt the longer it takes to cast, that and the more that it drains from Saeryn.
- Ice shards: Saeryn uses magic to super cool the air around her, literally conjuring ice from thin air. This can be used to freeze opponents, create walls to block off targets. The most common use sees her using a doombolt’s blast to propel the ice at lethal speeds, using the ice to impaling targets. Saeryn had two variations of this projectile, One variation is one long sharp projectile, similar to a harpoon, this is meant to completely pass through a target with lethal results. The other is a blast of ice, propelling dozens of ice shards at lethal speeds, this is similar to a modern shotgun as it peppers targets with lethal shrapnel, Saeryn enjoys using this on lightly armored targets, where there is no protection from the rending ice. Just like with doombolt different styles of use will change the time it takes to cast, as well as how draining it is on Saeryn’s powers.
- Freeze: A variation on the ice shards power. Where ice shards is the act of summoning ice, Saeryn uses magic to super cool the water inside of someone's body, conjuring ice around them. Saeryn uses this to freeze limbs and cripple her prey, usually to take them alive for other uses. Saeryn is also known to completely freeze all of the water in someone's body, turning them into what looks like a statue of whatever this was. The ice is brittle enough to be shattered with Saeryn's staff. Against targets much larger than human this doesn't work and will only freeze a portion of that creature. However even partial freezing is very painful to a target. Unlike ice shards Saeryn has to fight against the natural resistance that living creatures have to spells, and so the freeze spell is very draining on Saeryn’s abilities despite it’s showiness.
- Ashbringer: Small clouds of black mist begin to form around her hands. Either a single person that Saeryn is concentrating or anyone caught in a distance around her (only a few feet) begin to suffer from extreme pain as the first side effect. Shortly after their armor and skin begin to crack and peel away and fleck off, turning into ashes on the wind. Eventually this begins to eat through clothing, armor and skin and continues to strip away muscle and flesh layer at a time, all of these still falling away to ashes. If someone persists under the dreadful effects for too long they'll be reduced to a cloud of ash as the dark magics continue to eat through organs and bone. This is extremely draining on Saeryn, and even short applications of this will cause Saery’s abilities to be drained even to the point of causing Saeryn to suffer from extreme physical fatigue. Saeryn can't use this for more than a few moments.
- Raise dead: Despite the taboo against necromantic magic’s Saeryn openly practices the foul arts. Saeryn can raise undead, mindless servants that mindlessly follow her orders. The raised dead take simple commands, move here, wait there, kill this target or kill the living. The soulless bodies have no will of their own and will only follow a necromancers orders. Creating higher undead, such as ones that can use magic of their own or have some remnants of their former minds require delicate and extensive rituals, and Saeryn has only begin to break into this field. The undead are highly resistant, as their animation relies on Saeryn’s power not their own body’s condition, removal of the limbs or even decapitations only seems to hamper their mobility or senses. However they are a constant tax on Saeryn, the more she has, the more she has to upkeep and the less she will be able to cast further spells.
- Mutations; Saeryn's mutations are clear to see, unlike her regular arms the spider's limbs do have strength to them. But like her smaller cousins they lack the manual dexterity and flexibility of a traditional limb and are of little use for tasks other then movement. Saeryn would have trouble scratching her back with a leg, nonetheless performing a task with them. Due to her rather unique method of locomotion, Saeryn doesn't tire easily over long distances and is troubled little by climbing over rough terrain. However the sheer mass of her body means that unlike a smaller spider she cannot climb on vertical surfaces, and has trouble replicating the graceful movements when using her webs to move. Unlike her skin, the exoskeleton formed by the carapace forms some natural armor to prevent glancing cuts and scrapes from glancing blows. The sheer mass of the woman is often used in combat, Saeryn is able to pin prey down merely by pouncing and bringing her altered form to bear. With strengths of her altered body also come the drawbacks. The most obvious is her disturbing appearance. She stands out in a crowd, and blending in can be next to impossible. Many people are uncomfortable around the corrupted elf, nonetheless one that's a massive spider. She also makes a very large target, making it difficult to avoid blows. Due to her legs, swimming is impossible for the woman. There is also a distinct effect on her sanity. Saeryn suffers from natural instincts in her head telling her to rend and kill those around her. Her body desires blood as it's preferred form of sustenance, at times she can't concentrate on anything but eating those around her.
- Venom; She produces a natural poison that she can inject into victims with the two fangs on her lower half. The dagger like fangs contain a cruel poison that can cause intense muscle spasms, and eventually paralysis in lower doses. In higher doses it can be fatal. Instincts seemingly bred into Saeryn can ensure that she naturally knows the right dosage for the result that she wants for typical humanoid prey, though for more exotic targets Saeryn might not know the exact dosage.
- Spider Silk; Saeryn's body is capable of producing spider's silk, due to sheer size she is able to produce the tough threads in a quantity that allows for it to effectively be used to restrain prey. However unlike the delicate threads of her smaller cousins it's quite difficult for her to weave anything but the most basic of forms such as a web.
- Elven Perception; Even if she has 4 eyes, Saeryn's are just as keen as her elven cousins. Elves have greater perception than most, able to see things that are harder to notice or farther away a lot better than most others can and Saeryn is no exception to this.
- Magic affinity; Created by magical means for the soul purpose of being living artillery, the mutations were an acceptable side effect. Saeryn is able to tap into the currents of magic more naturally then a naturally born creature. A Saeryn can use magic more easily and more safely than most other races. As well as being able to tap into the currents of magic, Saeryn possesses a natural sense for the use of magic. This not only allows for her to identify a magic user more easily, but allows for her to see where magic is most concentrated at, for example around an enchanted object, or identify a spell about to be cast. However despite being at one with magic, with her natural attunement to magic comes a vulnerability to it, and will suffer more from harmful magic spells than a natural born race will.
