General:
Egaia is the largest continent of Azoria and has a splendorous mixture of creatures, races, and landscapes. It is a vast stretch of land that suffers a nasty scar that covers the North. Egaia is famed for is plentiful forests, unique guilds, and abundance of wild game. This continent was once under the total control of The Empire; however, after an underground war with the Rebel Alliance, the Empire has become divided. Now, these beautiful lands are threatened to run red with blood from yet another war that threatens to engulf the beautiful landscape.
History:
Known as the "Motherland", Egaia was the continent in which Zasmalsa began creating Man. It is a land that holds the tragic power struggles of all the races fighting for control, dominance, and resources. Many lives have been sacrificed to the land, and the blood of so many have saturated the soil; making it fertile, lush, and eternally green. During the forth age, Egaia was the final frontier that stood against the Fou Empire, but was quickly taken over once the God Emperor overwhelmed the forces stationed at the Mercer Strait. Since then, Egaia has been heavily influenced by the Imperial Reign. After the conflict with the Crimson Terror, Egaia was left terribly scarred, and has yet to recover due to a high concentration of demonic beings plaguing the north. Since then, Egaia has become fractured from Civil War and hatred against the Egaian Empire. Regardless, Egaia is, and always has been a vast and beautiful land of high mountains, beautiful rivers, deep forests, vast grasslands, and an expansive desert.
Landscape:
From the North-Eastern point of Egaia, the land has been blackened by the Crimson Terror and Zasmalsa's demons. The Deadlands take up most of the north, but ends towards the west where the massive Azanium Mountains begin. The mountains tower high above the clouds and offer lodging for the rare Blackfeather Wyverns as well as the Peacekeeper's Guild. The Mountains expand far into the Northwest, where snowfall covers them in a blanket of white. The Snow-capped Anazium go unexplored by most, for they are the home to the Northern tribe of snow-wolf Beast-Men. These shape-shifting wolves do not take kindly to outsiders, and are in a constant struggle with Spell-casting Trolls and Yeti's who, through unknown means, have mastered powerful ice and blizzard magic. With the Yeti's and trolls increasing in number, the Snow wolves are slowly being pushed to the South. Were they ever to cross into the mainland, it would be a terrible scramble for power as they invade Rhondael's territory.
The Mid-Westward expanse of Egaia is the home of many families of Elves: The most notable family being those of Sylavea. The Elves struggle to upkeep their patch of dense forest from war and humans, though this is no easy task when conflict seems to be a daily occurrence. Towards the center begins the neutral territory of Nobaltica: the single-most largest collection of all races and species in all Azoria. Nobaltica is the location where all the world's powers and nobility converge to discuss daily affairs as well as diplomacy, or lack-there-of. It is also the world's center of trade, and more money passes through the crowded market square than water through the Mercer Strait.
Moving to the East, the borders of the Egaian Empire meet the desert sands of Reynes; the most expansive desert in all the world. Reynes is a hot desert expanse, as well as a booming kingdom and an epicenter of mining as well as coliseum battles. Reynes also offers the chance to purchase a sand glider and explore the desert for ruins and ancient treasure, though it is recommended no excavations take place in the Scorching Sands, as this is the most dangerous place in the entire desert. From deadly creatures to extreme temperatures, the Reynes desert is second in danger only to the demonic Deadlands to the north.
